Curated by Janet Chu

Orchid Boutique is a mother–daughter, Asian-American design studio founded by Ada Law and Janet Chu, where tradition, storytelling, and nature-driven design meet.

Ada Chu brings over a decade of experience in orchid arrangement and floral design, with a deep appreciation for balance, form, and longevity. Her practice also extends into bonsai curation, where patience and restraint shape living sculptures. A dedicated bonsai section within Orchid Boutique reflects her interest in cultivating harmony through miniature landscapes and time-honored techniques.

Janet Chu is a filmmaker, actress, and orchid designer with a background in Film & Television Producing from California State University, Northridge, and Fashion Design & Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). Her multidisciplinary training informs a cinematic approach to floral design—where orchids are composed with intention, rhythm, and visual clarity.

Designs at Orchid Boutique draw inspiration from Mother Nature—the ocean, stone, moss, and organic textures—translated into curated orchid and floral pieces that feel both refined and elemental.

Together, Ada and Janet blend generational craftsmanship with contemporary design, offering custom orchid arrangements for spaces, events, and meaningful moments. Orchid Boutique also serves as a creative location for film shoots and pop-up experiences.

As the location manager for Orchid Boutique, we also welcome filmmakers, artists, and entrepreneurs to book the space for creative shoots or pop-up events through Peerspace.

🧜‍♀️ The Mermaid Pot | A Bloom Room Mini Film by Janet Chu 🌸
Ever wonder what happens when a floral designer gets inspired by a mermaid?

In this dreamy Bloom Room short, follow our heroine (played by yours truly) as she drifts into a whimsical world of oceanic greens, flowing orchids, and one cheeky little Zen statue that seals the deal.

A green mermaid ceramic pot steals the spotlight—paired with cascading blooms and a surprise ending that might make you giggle. It’s floral art with a splash of storytelling and style.
