Rose Potpourri Experiment
The roses make a beautiful art piece in the restroom as they dry.
One week later. The restroom smells of sweet roses.
For this first batch, I gathered several roses that had passed their prime from our cut-flower inventory and tied them into small bundles. I hung them upside down on a wooden ladder in one of the warmest and darkest areas of the store—our restroom.
As you can see, I’m drying pink, yellow, and deeper ma with dried citrus, cinnamon, lavender, eucalyptus, or a few drops of essential oil.

The finished potpourri could be displayed in a decorative bowl in a bathroom, on a vanity table, beside a jewelry stand, or packaged into small sachets for drawers and closets. I could also save some of the whole dried rose heads for wreaths, gift wrapping, photo styling, floral displays, or decorative glass jars.
This is really the beginning of a creative journey—finding ways to reuse flowers from the shop, reduce waste, and allow something that has passed its fresh stage to become beautiful in a completely different way.
