Light
Place in bright natural light. Japanese Holly bonsai prefer several hours of indirect sunlight each day. A location near a bright window or gentle morning sun is ideal.Watering
Water when the top layer of soil begins to feel slightly dry. This is typically every 3–5 days, depending on indoor temperature and humidity. Water slowly at the base of the trunk until the soil is evenly moist, but avoid letting the pot sit in standing water.Environment
Japanese Holly bonsai prefer cooler, well-ventilated environments with temperatures between 45–80°F. They benefit from fresh air and can tolerate cooler nighttime temperatures.Moss Care
Lightly mist the moss with a spray bottle every few days to keep it fresh and vibrant.Maintenance
Trim new shoots occasionally to maintain the bonsai’s shape. Rotate the pot every few weeks so the plant grows evenly toward the light. -
