Place the arrangement indoors where it receives bright, indirect light. Avoid strong afternoon sun, which can burn the orchid flowers and Monstera leaves.
Watering
The orchid and Monstera have different watering needs, so check each plant separately.
Orchid: Water when the orchid potting medium is nearly dry, usually about every 7–10 days. Let excess water drain completely.
Monstera: Water when the top 1–2" of soil feels dry. It may need water slightly more often than the orchid.
Do not pour a large amount of water directly into the decorative black pot. Standing water can cause root rot. After watering, make sure no water remains collected at the bottom.
Temperature and Humidity
Keep the arrangement between approximately 65–80°F. Protect it from cold drafts, heaters, air-conditioning vents, and sudden temperature changes. Average indoor humidity is usually fine, although both plants appreciate moderate humidity.
Fertilizing
Use a diluted orchid fertilizer for the orchid and a balanced houseplant fertilizer for the Monstera. Fertilize lightly about once a month during active growth. Avoid fertilizing while the plants are very dry or stressed.
Ongoing Care
Remove faded orchid flowers and yellow or damaged leaves as needed. Avoid getting water inside the orchid’s crown or leaving droplets on the flowers. Wipe the Monstera leaves occasionally with a soft, damp cloth.
Because this is a mixed arrangement, the plants may eventually need to be removed and repotted separately as they grow.
